Course Overview

This seminar provides participants with the fundamentals of workplace flexibility and presents a process for building a flexible workplace to maximise employee and organisational effectiveness. Specific examples of practices in the workplace flexibility category are discussed along with how workplace flexibility solutions may be successfully implemented.

This course is intended for human resources professionals and business leaders with an interest in and responsibility for worklife programmes that are designed to attract, retain and motivate employees.

Course Outline

Module 1: Total Rewards and Workplace Flexibility
Begins by introducing the concepts and components of total rewards. The value of work-life is highlighted along with a discussion around work-life strategies. Lastly, workplace flexibility and different flexibility approaches are introduced.

Module 2: Identifying Issues and Root Causes
Provides details on how to conduct a discovery to determine the issues and identify the root causes. The module wraps up by discussing how to package and present the discovery findings.

Module 3: Identifying Potential Solutions
Discusses how to create and present an effective business case for workplace flexibility.

Developing and Implementing Solutions
Begins by explaining how to assemble the flexibility team. Next, key areas of an action plan are discussed along with solution considerations. Lastly, critical issues for implementation are explored.

Please choose ONE course only. Both courses will be held at the Conrad Hotel. There will be an exam for W2 only which will take place on Wednesday, 3 October (morning).
