Welcome
The NSCA European Conference 2008 - Europe’s leading conference devoted to Scientific Strength and Conditioning.
In today’s society successful personal performance is becoming ever more important with increasing value placed on mental and physical well-being and fitness. As office jobs lead to a sedentary lifestyle, modern diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, back problems and other chronic illnesses are widespread. Healthy nutrition, physical conditioning and training are indispensable to prevent and alleviate these disorders, and to ultimately achieve a better and longer life. This is also the major motivation of fit people who aim to improve their athletic performance through tailored exercises and training programmes.
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) - as the worldwide authority on research-based knowledge and its practical application to improve athletic performance and fitness – is pleased to announce its first European event, which will offer strength and conditioning professionals a unique learning experience by bridging the gap between science and application.
