The beautiful and historically rich town of Copenhagen has much to offer; from its tales and stories of times past to its awe-inspiring architecture and its beautiful natural surroundings, this city is a treasure trove of contrasts.

As visitors begin to explore this city the uniqueness of Danish design and architecture becomes immediately apparent. To really appreciate this nation’s master design strokes a visit to the 5-storey Danish Design Centre with its impressive glass-fronted building is a must. The Centre opens its doors to offer diverse exhibitions ranging from the traditional to the radical – there is something for everyone here.

Located in the heart of Copenhagen, the magical Tivoli Gardens host over 40 restaurants, endless amusements, 400.000 flowers, as well as the fairy tale and enchanting illuminations that are switched on at dusk.

In search of total relaxation and a little exercise explore the city’s harbours, parks and gardens that offer tranquillity and calm to the mind. For the less energetic, hail a horse drawn carriage and be transported through the beautiful woods located twenty minutes away from the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel. To enjoy the fresh sea air promenade along the marinas and harbours stopping off to sample the glorious fresh sea food at the many restaurants located en route.

Don’t forget to visit the most photographed lady in Denmark - the statue of the little mermaid - who will be celebrating her 96th birthday on the 23rd August 2006. Legend has it that to become human, this lady of bronze must wait on her rock for another 204 years. This is a landmark that no-one should miss when visiting Copenhagen.
