The three main principles surrounding the Nexus philosophy – to bridge the widening bench to bedside gap, streamline thematic scope rather than depth, and promote an interdisciplinary and integrated understanding – are expected to draw widespread and fresh appeal within the field.

It is envisaged that the ISN Nexus Symposia – depending on the topic – will attract between 500 and 700 attendees, with an anticipated 75: 25 clinicians to researchers mix. The specially crafted program structure incorporating plenary lectures, translational sessions, basic and clinical scientific sessions, each providing cutting edge insight within the field, will be of equal interest and benefit to research scientists and clinicians alike.

The inaugural Nexus symposium, The Bone and the Kidney, will convene an eminent group of nephrologists, endocrinologists, cardiologists and bone specialists from a highly international pool. Industry leaders will also present the very latest technology and trends designed to progress the field and further the advancement of science.

Join us from October 12-15, 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark, to both gain and promote new insight into the interaction of the bone and the kidney – a vital step towards easing the global burden of chronic kidney disease.
